Lions Clubs International

Lions are members of Lions Clubs International, a community service organisation dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why. Local Clubs are part of the world's largest such organization, with 1.4 million members serving in more than 180 countries and areas.

Club Meetings

We have two meetings each month , a business meeting at 9:30 am on the second Monday of each month and a dinner meeting at 6:15 pm on the fourth Wednesday evening of the month.

At the business meeting we plan projects and decide on which charitable causes we will support.

The dinner meeting is a social occasion where we gather with our spouses and partners to socialise, have a bit of fun, have dinner together and usually listen to a guest speaker.

Visitors and prospective members are welcome to attend any meeting. If you wish to attend a meeting as a guest of the club, at no cost to you or your partner, please telephone the Membership Director who will make the necessary arrangements.

All meetings are held in the Kapiti Community Centre, 15 Ngahina Street, Paraparaumu.

What will it cost you?

• The current annual subscription is $50
• Please contact the Membership Director for Family Membership rates.
• The monthly dinner meeting costs $20 members & $15 for spouses and visitors.
• The monthly business meeting cost is $2
• Out of pocket expenses involved with club projects are mostly recompensed by the club.
• The club makes a clear distinction between funds collected for charity and that collected from
  members for administrative purposes.

Responsibilities

All members are expected to accept club responsibilities and take an active part in club projects.
